I'm amazed people still make that mistake.
hi guys/plumber it's hard to know exactly how he installed it,cheers
Would love to hear the plumbers version of the story.
QuoteThe jobs included installing a tempering valve onto the open vent line of a hot water cylinder connected to a wetback.
QuoteThe Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board said Guy had failed to have his supervisor check his work at two Westport homes where he worked on hot water cylinders.
I thought it was the supervisors job to check up on things and the supervisors that were responsible for said work? Was this not proven in another case by a member recently who employed a certifying plumber but got done (fined?) for his employed workers sub-standard work?
The TV into the open vent of a wetback HWC is pretty bad but...
hi guys, yeah he obviously cut straight into the vent and then what? where did the cold go? love to see a diagram of the pipework, can,t actually see how he got it wrong, cheers
As i understand it the cylinder imploded - vacume not exploded, nothing in the local news except that.
4.5k fine and it was not a local plumber but a chap from welly...
Hi All
Can anybody find this Michael Guy on the public register??
I have checked and his farther comes up but not Michael
If he was/is only on exemption then they no longer show on the public register?
hi guys, exemption under supervision eh! always knew that was only an excuse to employ cheap labour, probably initiated by m.ps because of the falling number of registered guys, cheers
Yes Robbo the MP's are good at rorting that loophole!!
Would be interesting to know if the supervisor was a member and perhaps the reason why the young fella was the patsy?!?
