hi guys,

what do you use to protect pexal/k1 gas pipe from uv, we normally use 1" black insulation tape, is there anything else we could try??? I have thought of denso tape as well but that can be quite sticky and annoying, any ideas?

try some ribbed elictrical conduct pipe this will give a much nicer finish than stinky black tape and also after a few years of rain sun cold the glue in the tape will degrade and you risk the black tape unravelling...my boss likes to use the pipe lagging but i think the conduit looks a shit load better...just more expensive to buy from a shop so ask a sparky mate and you should be able to get it at a realistic price.

roberto

thanks thunderhead, great idea, by ribbed you mean that flexible pipe, that looks like a dishwasher drain hose? but its white?

The stuff i am talking about is black and most commonly used as exterior conduit...But of course robbo knows the best product to use as it is formulated to go with k1 and if you use there product for there pipe and run into any quality issues in the future then they must stand by there product as using another product with there pipe could be an out clause for them if any warrintie issues may arrise.

roberto

wow, i never knew k1 supplied conduit for it! thanks

robbo

hi guys/roberto, yes we do not seem to hear much from the Micos reps these days maybe worth chasing them up, could be sinse the Fletcher takeover, cheers

why can't they just make one that complies, or is that just too much to ask??
You can't choose who you are.....but you are the sum of your choices.......

robbo
