Yea Jaxcat I'm from Auckland and have thought about changing jobs but I love being where I am, the pay is average, but its no expense spared when it comes to training and upskilling, they put me through backflow and paid for everything when it come to sitting my cert exam ,so yes big decision to be made

Ok, so you have work, the problem then is there is no certifying plumber to work under - so how are you working in the plumbing field then?  Sounds like the firm value upskilling and training - is there no one that you can work under then?
Have you learned lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you?  Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed the passage with you?  (Walt Whitman 1819-1891)  American Poet

I have been put on restricted duties until I passed my exam thinking that would be enough so now I am lucky enough to have found someone who is willing to take a chance with me and be my supervisor until my time finishes

Jaxcat

I'm not surprised I thought you would be swooped up given the shortage of licensed/certifying plumbers in Auckland.

I suppose I'm just sick of the hoops I have to jump through Jaxcat and the money I have to pay them for what righty is mine. It cost me $630 to apply for an exemption ,how the hell can they justify that
