So this is what happens when a Minister exercises unwise judgement.  There will be many amongst us who have emails or letters from the Minister of Construction along the lines of how he doesn't get involved in the operational aspects of the PGDB and how he just appoints them.  Well here is a case where he didn't seem to mind delving into operational matters - and we can all speculate what the motivation behind that was - but if you have an email or letter from this Minister where he has outlined what is "proper" and "not proper" for him in his position - now is the time to share it so we can all have a laugh!

Nick Smith acting Minister for Construction - might also be time to hit him with some emails appraising him of the issues we are facing in our industry.

Anyone taking bets on how long he sits on the backbenches before being bought back in to the fold?

Have you learned lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you?  Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed the passage with you?  (Walt Whitman 1819-1891)  American Poet
