Hi we are looking at installing a hot water cylinder (mains pressure electric 180L) in our basement. The ground in the area where we are looking at putting it in has a slight slope of approx 25 degrees. We could put some posts in the dirt and make a support timber platform / case for the cylinder to sit a bit above the dirt. Please could anyone help regarding what are the requirements for the support base / frame for the cylinder? Does it have to be made by a professional e.g. licenced builder? also does the cylinder have to be sit on a flat concrete base instead of timber base in which case we would have to concrete the whole area to make it flat?
