I'm just interested to get the feeling of this community as to paying of licence fees.  Be honest - if you're going to pay, say so, even if you don't agree with the levies and fees.  It would be good to get a real idea of how people are going to respond to the situation we now face.

Have you learned lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you?  Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed the passage with you?  (Walt Whitman 1819-1891)  American Poet

I don't think breaking the law is the way to go.  If we stoop to the levels of the Government and other organisations then we are no better than them and quite frankly I don't want do that.

I will consider legal action next licensing period if the requirements for me to get may licences are based on illegal activities and buying points is not legal and is not going to help the industry.

The Board is attempting to correct the actions of the past but time is not on their side. All the actions being taken at the moment are issues that should have been dealt with before the new Act as implemented. We are years behind where we should be and are working on so called "transitional arrangements, transitional competencies that were invented by the Board and weren't carried over from the old Act as claimed by the Board.

A bit of truth, respect and integrity would go a long way to help resolve the issues.

As far as fee and levies go I have no problems with them as long as they are justified and reasonable.

Any chance of taking up a class action law suit aghinst the PDGB to recoup the illegal fees taken?

Wal

There could be.  Got a spare 100K?

i thought the whole idea of class action was to spread the cost so you can get a full on legal team working for you....
$100,000 Devided between 700 fellow practisoners = only $142.85 each...Not even half of the yearly fee!...It is fesiable.

Even if only 500 opt in thats still only $200 bucks

Doing somithing like this is a great show of strength and it will show everybody that were deadly serrious about these issues and it will make people take notice of this situation...maybes an idea when other less costly avenues are closed.
