If you want to get a decent gasfitting text book to help you study you should look out for GAS INSTALLATION TECHNOLOGY by R.D. TRELOAR printed by Blackwell Publishing.  The ISBN Numbers are: 10: 1-4051-1880-6 and ISBN 13;978-1-4051-1880-4 if you take the name and these numbers to a technical book shop they should be able to get you a copy. Sorry, I have no idea of cost, it is a British publication and all the subjects are not loaded with loads of waffle but are pretty much straight to the point.
