Whats wrong with the pic's below? :-[

The 9kg bottle is attached to a gas hob put in after the N.G

The N.G runs a infinity ;D

Hi guys

actual distance to the gully is 600mm the cylinder is unrestained and it is connected with a rubber hose through the wall.

Also just for a laugh there is a N.G meter running a infinity and heating right there  ??? the lady of the house had the hob converted to LPG then asked us to disconect the N.G meter as she belevied she didn't need it  ;) we did as asked  and funnily enough we were back there within 5 hours when she found she had no hot water  ::) I pointed out at the first visit the faults with the LPG installation but she was happy to leave it as is

Hi guys,

just on this topic - would/does an earthing rod count as a potential source of ignition?

also - out of curiosity, what do you guys do for lpg installs to existing timber framed floor houses to prevent lpg ingress to subfloor?

Hi Intergrated

I can find nothing in the code regarding a earth rod but when you think about it you are right it could be a potential source of ignition.

For the LPG bottles on a timber sub floor I run a solid barrier 1m either side of the bottles usually Hardie board
