And no tail pipe for moisture collection?

Plumber

Looks like it's crox'ed aye?
Please note that the advice I am giving is only my opinion and not necessarily a fact.  Please refer to our terms and conditions.

Thunderhead

ooh and no cover/rain protection above the regulator?

Thunderhead

yea it looked like a standard crox to me as well not a flared crox?

robbo

hi guys, absolutely correct also gas hob inside has no isolating valve. I was on the property doing a plumbing job and as i am no longer involved with gas it is only an observation, cheers

robbo

hi guys, also no main gas valve below regulator, cheers

robbo

hi guys, this is one of my own efforts awhile ago, only took the pic to send to aber as thier hoses had blown up due to a fault, aber supplied new hoses and covered the cost of replacing them, cheers

chilly

Hi guys also on the first picture of the gas appliance , the yellow handle should always fall to isolation for safety, its clearly falling to open.

robbo

hi guys/chilly, the valves are actually off, i turned them off to work on the shower, cheers

chilly

Hi Robbo sorry mate what i meant was if the valve handle dropped it would always fall closed and not to open regards chilly

robbo

chilly, absolutely correct those long handle vales should not be there at all but seeing as they are they should do exactly as you say, cheers

yes Robbo, abers regulators have hoses that for a peroid of time where faulty and they would replace them, but now we are still coming across 3-5 year old aber hoses that are leaking at the crimp joint and for some reason the hose feels very stiff as if the material has hardened.
we stopped using them as they where not covered by warranty and they also do not meet nzs 5601 ( not being adjustable for 3kpa outlet pressure)
I believe in doing a job once and right. !
